الجزء الثاني: الشخصيات:
1. فينسنت و فلينت
صحيح شكلهم مختلف لكن لديهم بعض الصفات المشتركة. على عكس فينسنت, فلينت يعيش, لكنه يتغير للأبد بعد الأحداث الصادمة اللي صارت; يشعر انه عديم الفائدة وما يقدر يساعد لوكاس بأي شيء, على الأقل ليس بشكل مباشر. عندما علم فلينت إن وحش كيميرا قتل زوجته, فقد السيطرة على نفسه, ودخل بنوبة غضب, وهاجم الناس اللي حوله, حتى أصدقاؤه. اسمه بالنسبة لمصمم اللعبة Itoi-san, كان اختصار لـ“Flintlock”, وهي آلة اطلاق نار كانت تستخدم في المسدسات بالقرون الـ17, 18, 19.
يمكن القول انه عصبي, وشخصيته سريعة الإنفعال دائمًا توديه بمشاكل. تم اعتقاله بسبب مهاجمة وإيذاء الناس. بسبب اعتقاله وشعوره بالإكتئاب صار وجوده نادر باللعبة أغلب الوقت. يخرُج من السجن ليحضر جنازة زوجته. لاحقًا, يقتل الكيميرا اللي قتل زوجته. لديه أصدقاء قِلّة, من ضمنهم أب وولده واسمهم “فيول و لايتر”. ولديهم مغامرة خاصة فيهم معًا. الحياة بدأت تصبح هادئة إلى أن ظهر رجل اسمه “Porky Minch”, مُدعي انه الملك بوركي أو “الملك الخزير” وصار يطالب بالطاعة والدعم ومثل ما انذكر قبل فلينت دائمًا يرفض الإعتراف فيه ورؤيته الجديدة بعمل جزيرة بتكنولوجيا متقدمة لذلك يُحرق بيتهم باستمرار وتنقتل زوجته.
فينتسنت فانتومهايف: كان كلب حراسة الملكة قبل أن يقُتل وابنه الإيرل أخذ من بعده. فينسنت أدّى دوره بكفاءة لعدة سنوات إلى أن قام باقتراف خطأ ولأكثر من مرة على ما يبدو. تلمح هالموضوع كثير, أغلبها من قبل زميله وصديقه القديم “الأرستقراطي الشرير” ديدريتش ‘أو ديدريك بنطق أخر’ وهو أن فينسنت قد اتخذ قرار خاطئ و وقع في مشكلة مع العائلة المالكة البريطانية وتحديدًا مع الملكة. بتاريخ 1882/1883 حدث شيء; فينسنت أشار للي صار على أنه “حادثة وندسور”; وهالشيء أثار استياء الملكة وعلى ما يبدو صارت فضيحة بقصر وندسور وقتها (أرك المدرسة مثال واضح على أن الملكة تكره أي فضيحة تمس عائلتها). بعدها في 1885, يعني فقط بعد كم سنة من الحادثة بدأت الأمور تتخذ مُنحنى, الملكة فيكتوريا أمرت بإهلاك الفانتومهايف, أو على وجه التحديد خط عائلة فينسنت منهم. مجموعة أدلعت حريق بالقصر وماتوا فيه فينسنت وريتشل والكلب, تاناكا انطعن لكنه تمكن من النجاة بطريقة ما وتم بيع التوأم.
لكن لو نلاحظ شي ثاني: كان هناك جسر قيد الإنشاء عام 1889 وتم التخطيط له منذ عام 1875… لكن البناء لم يبدأ حتى عام 1885! ولأن الموسم الثاني من الأنمي كان فلر, ما بنقدر ناخذه على إنه كانون (حاليًا), لكنه بين ان عائلة فانتومهايف كانت المسؤلة عن تدفق الأنهار – ترميم وبناء السدود …إلخ. والسؤال هو هل فينسنت أيّد بناء جسر البرج ذو التقنية المتطورة في إنجلترا؟
2. ريتشل وهيناوا:
شكل الأمهات لايتشابه كثيرًا, لكن كلاهما يمتلكان شعر طويل وشخصية توحي باللطافة. ريتشل ظهر بأن شخصيتها بريئة وتملك صحة ضعيفة, وبالواقع شخصيتها رجولية قليلًا ويبدو أنها أكثر صرامة بتربية الأطفال من فينسنت. بفلاش باك مدام ريد, ظهرت ريتشل وهي تمازح اخها الصغرى بإمساك صدرها وانه لأي درجة حجمهم كبير. سمعتم قبل بعبارة “She’s a pistol”؟ تستخدم لوصف المرأة بشخصية يلا يمكن التنبؤ بها, واللتي لايمكنك معرفة خطوتها التالية. معنى اسم هيناوا بشكل حرفي “فتيل”, وهي أيضًا آلة نارية قديمة.
تمت الإشارة إلى أن اسم هيناوا قد يكون تلاعب بالكلمة اليابانية “هانيوا”, والهانيوا هو مجسم جنائزي صغير يُدفن مع الموتى. مع الأسف, الأمهات يموتون وأولادهم بعمر 9/8. الأن ممكن نشوفهم بالفلاش باك أو أحلام الشخصيات.
هيناوا تموت أثناء زيارتها لوالدها برفقة أبنائها في جزيرة أخرى. قروية أخرى اسمها تيسي وهي ممرضة, تساعد الجد وتعتني بالتوأم بعد ظهورهم (تمامًا بعد وفاة هيناوا). يعيد الجد وتيسي التوأم لمنزلهم. بالنسبة لجانب ريتشل, مثل ماندري ماتت بالحريق هي وفينسنت والكلب سيباستيان. عند عودة التوأم الأصغر وخادمه الشيطاني سيباستيان إلى لندن, يتجهون إلى مستشفى لندن ليبحثوا عن خالة شيل “مدام ريد” اللتي تعمل طبيبة هناك. خلال بحثهم عن خالته يراهم كبير خدم عائلة فانتومهايف السابق, تاناكا.
نلاحظ شيء, في فلاش باك فلينت وهيناوا عند تسميتهم للتوأم, هيناوا قالت أن التوأم كانوا نعمة. بالمثل, رغم صحة ريتشل الضعيفة, وإنجاب توأم في العصر الفيكتوري كان شيء نادر, لذا تمكنها من تحمّل الحَمل وليس طفل واحد لكن توأم هو بحد ذاته معجزة. تمت الإشارة إلى انهم سمّوه سيل لان معناه “سماء”, هالشيء يلامس كون ولادتهم نعمة. ناخذ بعين الإعتبار قصة راحيل “ريتشل” زوجة يعقوب عليه السلام المذكورة في الكتاب المقدس, كانت زوجة صالحة لديها مشاكل في الإنجاب. تم صنع عقار جنسي/دواء من جذور نبتة اليبروح ليساعدها على الحمل. (تذكرون بأحد الأوفات ويليام اسخدم منجله لسحب جريل بأمان من جذور نبتة اليبروح).
3. لوكاس وكلاوس Vs. شيل وأستر:
‘بالنسبه لهم وقع الكلام كان بيكون أقوى قبل لا تُثبت النظرية لكن مو مشكلة’
-لوكاس وكلاوس: توأم, بالرغم من إن شكلهم ممكن يكون مختلف الأن لكن من كلام الأهل بطفولهم كان صعب التفريق بينهم لدرجة اللخبطة. تم تسمية كلاوس أول, لذلك هو التوأم الأكبر, شخصيته منفتحة وهو أول من غادر المنزل عشان ينتقم لوفاة أمه.
نكمل على أحداث قبل (للإطلاع هنا), بعد ثلاث سنوات من اختفاء كلاوس, لوكاس بعمر 12/13 يبدأ رحلة انتقام لفقدان ومعاناة عائلته برفقة كلبه المخلص بوني.
ينتهي المطاف بكلاوس (أو جسده)بتحوله لوحش كيميرا يخدم الملك ويسحب له الـNEEDLES من الأرض.
[ الـNEEDLES هي 7 مفاتيح تحبس تنين الظلام تحت الجزيرة. اللي يجمع أكبر عدد منها بيقدر يوقظ تنين الظلام ويعطيه قلبه].
أيضًا كلاوس أصبح القائد العام لجيش قناع الخنزير. لوكاس يلتقي كلاوس أكثر من مره خلال محاولاتهم لسحب المفاتيح لكن لا يميزه لأن كلاوس دائمًا يلبس قناع غير كونه تحول لكيميرا…
لوكاس يهزم الملك, بعدها يتواجه التوأم بغير إرادتهم على سحب أخر سيف. كلاوس أخيرًا يتذكر من هو ويضحي بنفسه عشان يفوز أخوه الصغير عليه, يفوز لوكاس ويوقظ التنين بقلبه الخيّر. يظهر تنين الظلام من تحت الجزيرة ويسبب تلون السماء باللون الأسود وانهيار أجزاء من الجزر.
-شيل وأستر: نفس الشيء, التوأم ما كانوا متطابقين تمامًا ببعض النواحي, أستر مثلًا أخذ عيون ريتشل وأيضًا ورث الربو والصحة الضعيفة منها. غير عن كذا التوأم كانوا صورة عن بعض لدرجة اللخبطة.
‘اللي يبكي البوست نزل بداية 2016, الأن بالفصل 130 صفحة 14 بيتأكد بالحرف: “… كانا انعكاس للأخر كما لو أنها فولة وانقسمت نصين.” بالعامي الصريح لول.’
نفس الشيء نكمل على قبل, بعد سنيتن, أستر بعمر 12 كـ(شيل فانتومهايف) أخذ لقب الإيرل. بعمر 13 بدأت رحلة مغامرته بالتأرجح, رغبته بالحصول على القوة والإنتقام ولّدت عقده من الشيطان, ليس من أجل عائلته, لكن لنفسه… من أجل معاناته وخسارته الخاصة. يلازمه شيطانه المتعاقد معه شديد الإخلاص, بإسم سيباستيان المُسمى من بعد كلبه الميت.
على ما يبدو ينتهي المطاف بشيل (أو جسده) بين يدي اندرتيكر, الي كان يقوم بتجارب مخلفة لإعادة احياء الموتى (أو إنعاش اللي طلعت روحهم). التخمين الحالي انه تحول لإحدى دمى أندرتيكر.
4. سيباستيان و بوني:
في Mother3, كلب العائلة بوني… وخادم عشوائي اسمه سيباستيان. اما بالخادم الأسود, عندنا كلب العائلة سيباستيان, وخادم شيطاني تم تسميته من بعد الكلب.
بوني هو رفيق لوكاس الثابت المُوالي. يستنشق الأدلة, والحُفر (أظن انه فعلها مرة), يرفض عروض المخدرات المعروضة عليه ‘مادري وش ذا لوول’, يكتشف الممرات السرية, يحذر لوكاس ويساعده بالخروج من المخاطر, لدرجة مرة لبس ملابس انسان ومشى على سيقانه الخلفية. وعندنا الخادم باللعبة اسمه سيباستيان لإنه الإسم المُعطى للخدم عادةً في اليابان, مثل اسم Jeeves اللي يعطونه البريطانيين للخدم.
سيباستيان, كلب العائلة في الخادم الأسود, يلعب مع الأطفال, يجلس بالقرب من أقدام سيده, ويمكن القول أنه قد يعطي انطباع كلب حراسة أيضًا, لكن مع الأسف تم قتله مع سيده. وعندنا كبير الخدم الشيطاني اللي تم تسميته من بعد كلب العائلة. على اي حال رغم كره سيباستيان للكلاب لكن حرفيًا كان له من اسمه نصيب, يستنشق الأدلة و والفرائس… يحفر ويستخرج الجثث. هو أيضًا يرفض عروض المخدرات المقدمة له, يكتشف الممرات السرية, يحذر الإيرل وينقذه… يأخذ هيئة بشر, يغير ملابسه ويتنكر على حسب الموقف. مثل تضبيطه للأعمال اليومية بازدواجية في قصر الفانتومهايف, مرة يكون كبير خدم, يرافق الإيرل, يساعده بالقضايا, أو كـ كلب. وشيطان متعاقد لا يتوقع سوى وجبة شهية جدًا صعبة المنال. سيباستيان هي الشخصية اللتي تعادل تنين الظلام في اللعبة. لا يمكن رؤية تنين الظلام (عند صعوده للسماء, تحولت للون الأسود), بالمثل لم نرى هيئة سيباستيان كاملة. كل اللي ظهر هو كعب, أظافر سوداء طويلة, أنياب, وعيون ضيقة ملتهبة… كما انه مغطى بالسواد, ويطلق دخان أسود كالمحلاق. ينتظر بصبر قدر المستطاع أن يحقق الايرل انتقامه, عند ذلك الحد سوف يتمكن من الحصول على وجبته… لكن هل سيتمكن الإيرل تحقيق ذلك؟

Episode 8: Under Construction….
Lucas, Boney, Kumatora/Violet, and Duster are still in Empire Porky Building. They get into the elevator again and yet again end up on a floor that is not really the 100th. This time they find one of those pink shell homes that belongs to a Magypsy, and Porky’s voice can be heard overhead, this time telling them to stay away from there and go right back to the elevator. They ignore his demands, so they go in thinking to find the last needle. Inside, they find banana peels, clothes they’ve seen Fassad wearing before, and even some horns like the ones Fassad wore as a chimera (New Fassad, Miracle Fassad).
Those two items on the floor next to Boney are a shaver and a lipstick, which are gifts left behind when Magypsies die/disappear. Therefore, Fassad (aka Locria, the seventh Magypsy) must be gone now. They meet a mouse who is waiting for Locria to come back, since Locria took care of it, but it realizes Locria isn’t likely to return.
They get into another elevator and, of course, end up on another non-100th floor. It looks like part of some lab, and they have to fight enemies, including a robot dog called K9000 (a joke on the retro Doctor Who’s K-9 robot dog, which is great if you are old like me and remember K-9 quite fondly). Eventually, they end up in rooms where something big is under construction:
They also fight something called a Love Walker, which looks like a bunch of legs arranged like wheel spokes, with heeled red shoes at each end. In the center of the “wheel” there is a pair of lips on one side and the word “love” on the back. These could be like robot prostitutes, robotic street-walkers? Seriously, it looks like this:
Though they don’t really have to fight the construction workers, if you try to have Lucas speak with them, then these workers will complain that Lucas and co. are in the way… impeding the construction… have no business there. A sign says “future site of the Great Porky Swimming Bath”. After hearing Porky’s command again to find him on the 100th floor, they get on another elevator. That’s the end of Episode 8.
If we keep Bravat/Blavat as the parallel to Miracle Fassad/Locria, which I think he is, then he’s most-likely out of the way by now. It will be interesting to see whether Bravat/Blavat actually had someone he cared about/for (like Fassad/Locria cared about/for a mouse). It would also be interesting to discover that Sky Bravat/Blavat is actually a stage name, just like all the versions of Fassad were really a fake name for Locria, the dissonant Magypsy. (I say dissonant because that’s what the Locrian mode is… and Locria had rebelled against the other six Magypsies.) Yana-san, however, might not go as far as exposing Bravat/Blavat in quite this way; perhaps it is really his name. I do expect him to be exposed in some way, though, probably as a fraudulent fortune-teller (at least). But once we get to this stage in the plot, Bravat/Blavat will most-likely no longer matter. The earl and co. will be after other people. Undertaker and Lord Sirius? Well, yeah, eventually, but right now I’m thinking more along the lines of Queen Victoria and John Brown (with Double Charles as an obstacle somewhere along the way).
Otherwise, the main parallel I see in Black Butler here is that pesky Tower Bridge that has been planned out since 1875 (when the earl and Ciel were born) but didn’t get under construction until 1886 (just after the Phantomhives were attacked and Vincent and Rachel were killed). Again, I think this has to do with the queen and her servants. Depending on what the earl learns from Frances and Alexis (like Lucas learning from Wess and Alex) and from Tanaka (like Lucas learning from Leder), he might be intentionally hunting down the queen and her servants, trying to corner them.
Episode 9: The Real 100th Floor?
Of course not, but it is a lab floor of some kind. Perhaps Dr. Andonuts works here from time to time, since the equipment looks a lot like what’s in his other labs, including tanks full of green liquid (for storing specimens).
Lucas and co. go around fighting various enemy chimeras. Then they meet a researcher who explains the green liquid. It’s the “base component” of something that turns people who are against the king into obedient followers of him.
Notice the people suspended in the green stuff to the lower left of the screens. Also notice the purple walls and the lighter, sort of lilac-colored floors…. Sad that the “Nice Person Hot Spring” is just a lab full of people suspended in tanks/vats/capsules of chemicals. Not just people, either. And some of the people are twins and triplets, btw….
This time, Porky’s voice directs them to a staircase instead of an elevator. Lucas and co. climb several levels of stairs until they come to a colorful entrance with a Host waiting for them. Then we find out the Host is the same as the Chauffeur from before.
Notice that this Host refers to Lucas as Master Lucas…. It’s a bit like people calling the earl “Young Master”. Notice that he also calls Porky “Master Porky” instead of King Porky. This is the end of Episode 9.
Within the Black Butler world, the “Kuroverse”, there are already strong visual parallels to these lab scenes. The manga has Sieglinde’s lab contain smaller versions of these tanks, but we haven’t seen anything inside them (yet):
In the anime, it’s even more pronounced, despite the fact it’s only shown (so far) during the “Making of” OVA for season two:
I know that the “Making of” ova is a sort of “blackbutlercrack” – this time the anime staff itself having fun with the fandom – but I still think it’s significant in some ways, like it’s full of Easter Eggs. It would not surprise me in the least if Yana-san let at least one person on the anime staff “in” on her ideas about the framework of the series. In both Mother3 and this Black Butler II OVA, the tanks are large, full of green liquid, and contain bodies. Even the real color of the flooring in the OVA appears to be purple (distorted due to the green glow of the tanks), just like the flooring and walls in the above lab scene in Mother3…. Do I think this scene from the anime OVA will make an appearance in the manga? No, not quite. However, we do already have the groundwork for something pretty similar (minus Alois; don’t think he’ll show up at all), since we have Sieglinde’s expanding laboratory, as well as the laboratory at Sphere Music Hall. I would not be surprised to eventually see specimens in Sieglinde’s tanks. I would also not be surprised to find out Undertaker preserves Bizarre Dolls by suspending them in tanks of liquid much like this. That could actually answer questions people in the fandom have had about how he keeps the corpses from rotting too much before he alters their records, etc.
Actually, we’ve already seen vats of chemicals used in both the manga and the anime (season two again). Sieglinde saves the earl from the “miasma” by having Sebastian get him into a huge vat of chemicals, holding him down below the liquid surface, and then forcing him to swallow and purge some other liquid/medication. Then, in anime season two we have Claude dunking the earl into a vat of water/chemicals to make him more vulnerable to brainwashing techniques….
Who could be the Black Butler parallel to Mother3′s Host? Not sure yet. Perhaps we can figure that out in the next masterpost 🙂
